castle in the sky

Pulling off a 'castle in the sky' is not an easy job. This work holds certain attraction to me due to the anime with the same name. For the execution I will say that you have surprisingly done quite well! I like how the girl is sitting there in perhaps a forlorn manner among the clouds while in the distance there is a castle. From a critical perspective I will point out the positives and negatives.

Positives are the idea itself of a castle in the sky.

The negatives, which I will be explaining a tad bit more, are not so big: I am being picky here:

Because among the dull colors it appears as something bright. Secondly, rainbows form when the water vapors spread sunlight into different shades. That usually happens after rain in places of humidity - I don't think it would form right above clouds. HOWEVER... there is the creative element of showing a rainbow in the sky, showing that yes, even rainbows appear here. So it can be a plus as well.

<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="210" title="Bullet; Red"/> I don't even know if this is right to pick out, but I feel that the transition of the 'bench landing' with the clouds on the lower end (right above the pigeons wing) could be made a little more 'cloudy'. It seems like a straight line.

<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="10" height="10" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="566" title="Bullet; Yellow"/> Finally not a negative, but something I say would improve the work: if a filter could be applied that made the work sort of mix together, it would make this wonderful.

Now just to add - the positives are much more powerful than the negatives. The negatives needed more explanation so it may seem they are more prominent. That is not the case. PLUS, this is as I said, me being picky about things so these negatives might not be negatives at all.

So over all a wonderful work!
